Here are some of our most frequently asked Questions.

Can I email you logos and custom layouts that I already have to see if they will work?
Absolutely.  We will be happy to answer any questions you may have and give suggestions or guidance along the way.  Send an email to CustomerSupport@DaedalusShop.com.

Some items are slightly tacky.  Why?
Great question.  Some items - especially wood - may have some tacky feeling.  This is usually because of the water in the wood and the amount of nutrients the tree had while growing.  With some use this should wear off.

A special note about sizes of earrings.
Earrings are measured by the actual size of the earring.  This does not include any hardware that may be added such as chain or hoop unless stated in the description

Can I do bulk orders for lost trackables so I don't have to fill out an item for every lost trackable code?
Yes you can.  Simply e-mail us your list of lost trackable codes at CustomerSupport@DaedalusShop.com.  Place your order for your total needed and leave us a note to use the lost codes you have already supplied.  

Can I use AI to generate an image for me?
Yes you can.  In fact we have a video that explains how to do that here --> Creating an AI graphic. 

What is Leatherette?
Leatherette is a synthetic material designed to look and feel like genuine leatherIt is commonly known by other names, including Faux leather, Synthetic leather, Pleather and Vegan leather (though true vegan leather can also be made from plant-based materials like cactus or apple fibers).  See our list of colors here.

What is Leatherette Made Of?
Leatherette typically consists of a fabric base (like cotton or polyester fibers) coated with a layer of plastic polymer, most often Polyurethane (PU) and/or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), also known as vinyl. This coating is often embossed with a pattern to mimic the natural grain of animal hide.

What do the different woods look like?
Great question.  We primarily use 1/8" plywood for most of our intricate designs.  Common woods are listed below.


Basswood - Most Commonly Used Birch - A Nice Light Wood Maple
Bubinga Red Oak Walnut - Our Darkest




Can I paint or color wood when I get it?
Yes.  Most wood is unfinished and will take paint, stain or markers well.
